My work
My practice moves between performance, ecology, and critical theory, exploring how bodies, human and more-than-human, generate and share knowledge.
With a background in fine art, economics, and artistic research, I create live, often cabaret-like performances that merge humour, sensuality, and speculative science.
Through Mermaiding, performing and moving with a mermaid tail, I explore trans-species embodiment as a queer and sensuous intelligence, actively playing with and exposing constructions of femininity.
Building on earlier research on how to resist post-Fordist modes of cultural production, my work continues to engage with questions of labour, representation, and pleasure through strategies that foster ambivalence, including over-identification. In these performances, irony and desire coexist, opening critical spaces that challenge normative ways of knowing and being.
My transdisciplinary practice positions performance as a site where humour, critique, and ecological awareness intertwine, creating worlds that are both critical and enchanting.
